Meet David Schappe

David Schappe is a 5th year Architectural Engineering student with a focus in Construction Management at The Pennsylvania State University. After completion of his academic endeavors he will graduate from the university in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering.

David has been involved on a number of projects through summer internships over the last 5 years. In 2014 David worked for Holder Construction Company as an Office Engineer on 3 simultaneous interior build-out projects in Atlanta, GA managing the toilet accessories and finishes. He moved out of the office to act as a Field Coordinator for his next three internships with Holder. In 2015 he was involved on a 130,000 SF Data Center in Dallas, TX managing the access flooring installation. In 2016 he moved to Cupertino, CA to oversee field operations for the MEP scope on Apple Campus 2's $60 million restaurant. David moved back to Atlanta, GA in 2017 to work on the Atlanta Falcon's Mercedez Benz Stadium overseeing field operations for the operable roof mechanization, petal skin, and permanent roofing install. Most recently he joined Clark Construction as a summer associate in 2018. He moved back into the office from the field for 6 months to assist the MEP team in facilitating operations for 3 separate buildings that comprised of the new Civic Center in Long Beach, CA. After graduation, David will begin working full-time in San Diego, CA for Clark Construction.

Outside of his academics in his free time David enjoys listening to and writing music, spending time in the woods hiking, kayaking, skydiving, and competitive yacht racing. Now, you can find him serving at the popular State College bar Cafe 210 West on the weekends.
